Corsica – France

Gorgeous Corsica is an island in the Mediterranean Sea which belongs to France. It is situated west of the Italian Peninsula, south east of the French mainland, and north of the Italian island of Sardinia. Over here Mountains covers two-thirds of the island, forming a single chain.

The official language of Corsica is French. Though, Corsica has its own language, Corsican. Mainly there are 4 airports on the island: Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi and Figari.

Corsica has outstanding beaches. Beside sunbathing and swimming almost all the beaches offer opportunities to snorkel. Some more well-liked beaches will rent windsurf boards and kite-surfing boards. Scuba diving is also available, mostly at well-known beaches near islands and in major towns. Approx. You have to pay around €45-60 euros for a one hour dive.

During lovely evening, many people stay on or near the beach, to enjoy gelato or one of the many beach-side bars and restaurants.
